Frilling sent the Flaming June article to me. She deserves credit for that amazing link, or for at least remembering how important that painting is to me. Do we love that woman or what?

I see that too. But, I wonder instead if it could mean/show that some (inflamed by the surrounding beauty, the placid sea mirroring the drowsy sun) would rather ingest oleanders and die peacefully (blissfully) than to continue to be a witness to the seemingly perpetual ugliness of everyday life? Why does she have to be a femme fatale? Why are the oleanders meant for her victims and not herself? Intriguing….
I can’t let go of Flaming June today.: )
