It's that time of year again. Are you sick of that phrase? You're not alone! People are also sick of words like bailout and maverick and carbon footprint.
It really IS the end of the year, however, and Filmoculous has gathered all the "best of" lists together in one place.
Tomorrow begins the Year of Astronomy! I know Cassandra is thrilled. Speaking of space, apparently it really messes with spiders' heads. And speaking of Cassandra, she's sent in links on the science behind psychic phenomena, a new (to us) website on astrology, and an article on "Pop EP," or pop evolutionary psychology.

I love the links today. Well, I love them everyday but today they seem especially cool.
I, too, HATE the phrase "carbon footprint." It compels me to embark on a murderous rampage, kind of.

It's funny, because I love astronomy and astrology people usually think I only love astrology. They think I'm ditzy and try to explain to me the difference between the two. I think to myself, "Why can't one be interested in both? The pragmatic and the fanciful?" Why does it have to be one or the other?
