From Satori: Boy George's U.S. Visa has been denied, which makes his upcoming tour a little...tentative.
From Holly: those Zorbs might be a little more dangerous than previously thought. Hm.
Also from Holly: does your high school experience affect your future job choice? (Holly and I both think that our high school didn't follow this trend; maybe it's a generational thing.)
From both Holly and Cassandra: Kermit Love, the designer of Big Bird's costume, has died.
We end with a slew of great links from Cassandra:
- Edgar Allan Poe, game theorist? Maybe!
- AFI has put out lists of the top ten films by genre.
- Meditation increases one's brain size. Om.
- Great white sharks have been misunderstood, thanks to Jaws.
- The final installment of the notebooks of Albert Camus have been published.
- Was the eclipse in Homer's Odyssey an actual historic occurrence? Scientists are finding out.
Have a spiffy weekend, everyone! See you Monday.

Soooo Jinnet, which philosopher do you prefer? I always did have a soft spot in my heart for Camus. For some reason, I am able to overlook his sexist ways.
For real. How can I hold anything against a person who writes “I don’t seduce, I adapt.”
I mean surrender.
I like "seduce" better!
It must be a lazy afternoon for you to post! Ohhh...So, let me comment on other links.
Ok, the list of the best films, what was that? I beg to differ with that list maker.
High School = Career article
I surely hope high school has nothing to do with career. Man. If so, I should get paid for being surly. Or, make a living at being an inmate as highschool was nothing more than a minimum security prison, for sure!
It is funny though, the part about cheerleaders being happy in high school and in the job market. I work with a woman who cheered in school. Today, she acts like she LOVES her job. And, it's a terribly boring job. But, she's been doing it for 35 years and can't complain, she says. Nothing better out there, says she. (Seriously though, I think she's unhappy and hates her job, she just doesn't know it). HAHAHA
This workday will end soon, right?
