Links from others! Thanks, everyone!

First off, a correction: Playmobil is a German company, so our comment earlier this week about the Danes knowing about fire is totally irrelevant. Thanks to Danny for setting us straight!

A plea from Bunny: check out Tech-Mare, a short film he edited, and help vote it up in the contest rankings! It's a 10-minute film about a very conservative man in the 1950s who ends up in modern times and can't cope with all these crazy liberal sensibilities.

Also from Bunny: scientists have discovered a huge mysterious magnetic star. They've also discovered that Saturn's moons, which look like flying saucers, are made from the same material as the planet's rings.

Cassandra sent in the Saturn story as well, although from a different source. Great minds! Also from Cassandra: a Gypsy turf war is brewing, the always-fun Landover Baptist people compare The Golden Compass to the Bible, and the Index on Censorship keeps an eye on what's being suppressed around the world.

From Holly: the U.S. may have a good excuse for why it's not high on international tests in terms of reading, but the math results are just pathetic.

Also from Holly: it's strange enough that there's a category of fabrics labeled Hunky and Handsome Guys, but what's really weird is that the Pink Panther is apparently considered hunky or handsome. Er?

Zazoo takes us out with the much-beloved Roosevelt Franklin teaching us the difference between "talking loud" and "talking soft." Have a spiffy weekend, everyone! See you next week.

Hey, the pink panther's always done it for me. It's his moves AND his grooves. How can one resist his theme song, as it is sure to intinsify the experience.
