More fun unrelated links! Feel free to send in your own during this Week of Miscellany.

First off, a local announcement: the Northside Parade is less than a week away, and if you haven't seen it, you really should. It's a great experience! We'll be there, and you should too.

Over in England, even the baboons are getting World Cup fever: they've taken to swiping England flags off visitors' cars. (The link includes a patriotic baboon, which is worth the click.)

If you were planning on taking part in this weekend's reenactment of the Battle of Gettysburg, be warned that the flooding around there has forced the organizers to postpone it till next weekend. This gives you an extra week to shine up that musket. Meanwhile, the walking festival in Ireland is still scheduled to go on this weekend.

Fun absurd stuff: Knitted mollusks! The amazing Tsui House! And NYC's "freaks of the night!" (I think the Club Creatures know most of those people by name, actually.)
