Today I am carrying books down to storage. This is a project I should have started a long time ago, so the pile of books to lug about is now gargantuan and sort of overwhelming. Therefore, I am making you work as well! No passive reading here! These are links urging you to do stuff! (Well, most of them.)

• help rebuild the New Orleans Public Library!
• vote for the new seven wonders of the world! (I've linked to this before, but voting just started January 1st.)
• listen to NASA podcasts!
• use Retrievr to draw what you want to see on Flickr! It's a sort of visual search that is not quite on track yet, but is so cool in and of itself that it's a total timesuck. As an added bonus, you may find some really good photographers. (If you're not very good at drawing, like me, you may find some really bizarre stuff as well. I tried to draw a fire and got pictures of jellyfish instead.)
• if you worked at Google, you could be wrestling with 250 pounds of Silly Putty.
• Go out and spread the word about libraries via graffiti, like this one which has a distinct Party Girl mentality. Woo!
